[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-4557) Project refresh option on right-click.

2020-07-08 Thread jimi adrian (Jira)
jimi adrian created NETBEANS-4557:
-

Summary: Project refresh option on right-click.
 Key: NETBEANS-4557
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-4557
 Project: NetBeans
  Issue Type: New Feature
Affects Versions: 12.0
Reporter: jimi adrian

Currently the way to refresh the file browser in case external changes are not
detected is `Source->Scan for external Changes`.

It would be good that this option is added on right-clicking a directory or
project.

Description:
I use Ctl-TAB to move between code tabs. When I keyup fast (e.g. less than half
a second from keydown), instead of switching to another code tab, it switches
to the files tab.

I'm not sure whether this was created as a feature, but I think it should be
possible to switch fast between code tabs (e.g. you can add an opt-out checkbox
in the "Options->Appearance->document tabs" section).

I tried to search/configure the keymap in the options but `Ctl-TAB`  is not
there.

[jira] [Updated] (NETBEANS-4524) Add IDE selection expression ${moduleName} to reference module name defined in module-info.java

Currently when I need to to run single file (Shift-F6) on a modular application
I go to

ProjectDir->RightClick->Properties->Actions->Run file via main()

and change the `exec.args` from:

`-classpath %classpath ${packageClassName}`

to

`--module-path %classpath:/opt/javafx-mods/14/ -m
jdk14Example/${packageClassName}`

It would be nice to have an expression for selecting the module of the
currently open file so that it is not hardcoded. e.g. `${moduleName}` instead
of `jdk14Example`. This way if module name changes, the run configuration will
not break.

incubator-netbeans-release-380-on-20181217) like this:

/opt/netbeans-10.0/bin/netbeans --jdkhome /opt/jdk-11.0.1

When selecting a directory from a maven project:
 * The open in terminal of quickopener  does not work (No errors on the console)
 * open in directory works but it also prints an error: "Cannot run program
null/projects/myproject": error=2, No such file or directory.
 * Copy path works fine

lot of people prefer to provide git commands or perform maven builds outside
netbeans.

If this is not easy to implement, at least a right-click -> copy-path can be
added, so that a `cd +` would be used as an alternative.

Note: previously terminalextras plugin could be used for this. See related
issue: [https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=198283] .

But, currently there is no support in netbeans 9/10.

Summary: Provide open in terminal feature
 Key: NETBEANS-1910
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-1910
 Project: NetBeans
  Issue Type: New Feature
Reporter: jimi adrian

It would be very useful to be able to open the current directory into a new
terminal (outside the IDE). For example a lot of people prefer to provide git
commands or perform maven builds outside netbeans.

If this is not easy to implement, at least a copy-path would be useful, so that
a `cd +` would be used as an alternative.
