[~skygo]- As [~GeertjanWielenga] pointed out- Apache should own the domain now. 
 But political/infrastructure blockers aside there are still some issues with 
the maven setups:

* The default "create maven netbeans platform" wizard still points to the 
bits.netbeans.org/nexus repo (I just confirmed this on NB10). Anyone comparing 
RCP platforms will be limited to an older version of Netbeans unless they take 
the time to scan through forums to find out that they need to manually update 
the pom file to point to a different repo.

* All versions should be available from one repo. Since the last developer 
published  repo was netbeans "RELEASE82". It would be nice to be able to easily 
jump back and forth between say 82 and 10 without swapping repos. Yes, I 
understand a local nexus/maven repo will solve this.

The default maven repo ( or old default repo) for Netbean platform/maven 
projects should be updated as well or at least redirected. Ideally both would 
be inclusive of all Netbeans versions and not have an oracle/apache divide
