I am using `-J-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on` in `netbeans_default_options`. 
Also Liberation Mono font looks good on my system. Certain fonts have ugly 
rendering.

humm i think no, but try to change the font to "DejaVu Sans Mono" to compare 
exactly, it should look smooth like Intellij screenshot, however in my case it 
looks a "Full Hinting" rendering
