Just remove the filters. They are not needed when running in Dev mode.

Works fine now.

[jira] [Created] (OPENMEETINGS-2420) Discuss and publish API Docs as swagger - Generate swagger from code

 Summary: Discuss and publish API Docs as swagger - Generate
swagger from code
 Key: OPENMEETINGS-2420
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-2420
 Project: Openmeetings
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: SOAP/REST API
Affects Versions: 5.0.0
Reporter: Sebastian Wagner
Assignee: Sebastian Wagner
 Fix For: 5.1.0

I would like to explore how to publish the API docs as swagger document.

The JavaDocs are nice, but I think most of us are using swagger these days. And
you can actually generate swagger docs automatically published from the code
based on the annotations.

I would like to discuss and try that.

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2411:

Ah i see there is a try block.

I need to get used for having exceptions as part of startup without an actual
meaning to it.

Do we maybe want to solve this in a way without logging an exception ?

> Its a bit confusing with the installer:
> OpenMeetings 5.x requires Java11, but when running the startup.sh script it
> will tell you first: Minimum version is 52 (which is java8)
>
> {code:java}
> Using CLASSPATH:
> /home/openmeetings/apache-openmeetings-5.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin/bootstrap.jar:/home/openmeetings/apache-openmeetings-5.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
> Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
> org/apache/catalina/startup/Bootstrap : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0
> {code}
>
> Cause that is the minimum version for the Apache Tomcat server that
> OpenMeetings is packaged inside.
> But if you try java8 it will just not startup with:
> {code:java}
> 07-Jun-2020 05:34:40.770 INFO [main]
> org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContext.log No Spring
> WebApplicationInitializer types detected on classpath
> 07-Jun-2020 05:34:40.772 SEVERE [main]
> org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.listenerStart Error configuring
> application listener of class [org.apache.openmeetings.util.OMContextListener]
>  java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
> org/apache/openmeetings/util/OMContextListener has been compiled by a more
> recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of
> the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0 (unable to
> load class [org.apache.openmeetings.util.OMContextListener])
> {code}
> And it will actually not create above logs, unless you manually edit add some
> logging.properties as it won't even start the logger context.
> But in fact OpenMeetings require Java11.
> This could be probably be improved to just clearly make Java11 minimum
> requirement and fail right from the start with binary version 55.0 error.

I'm not really comfortable to release to general public assuming any student
can crash the server in a couple of clicks!

If we really think we want to release a production release - excluding fixing
this - we should disable the functionality for now.

[jira] [Commented] (OPENMEETINGS-2389) Installation - minimum version Java and error messages in Apache Tomcat vs OpenMeetings webapp

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2389:

Well it says Java8 on the website. Should be changed to Java11 for OpenMeetings
5.x

Is there not a simply way to force Java11 when running the startup script ?

Or at least create some sort of error message.

You otherwise just get "webapp context failed to start" without any log or
error message.

Sebastian Wagner updated OPENMEETINGS-2389:
---
Description:
Its a bit confusing with the installer:

OpenMeetings 5.x requires Java11, but when running the startup.sh script it
will tell you first: Minimum version is 52 (which is java8)

{code:java}
Using CLASSPATH:
/home/openmeetings/apache-openmeetings-5.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin/bootstrap.jar:/home/openmeetings/apache-openmeetings-5.0.0-SNAPSHOT/bin/tomcat-juli.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
org/apache/catalina/startup/Bootstrap : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0
{code}

Cause that is the minimum version for the Apache Tomcat server that
OpenMeetings is packaged inside.

But if you try java8 it will just not startup with:
{code:java}
07-Jun-2020 05:34:40.770 INFO [main]
org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContext.log No Spring
WebApplicationInitializer types detected on classpath
07-Jun-2020 05:34:40.772 SEVERE [main]
org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.listenerStart Error configuring
application listener of class [org.apache.openmeetings.util.OMContextListener]
 java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
org/apache/openmeetings/util/OMContextListener has been compiled by a more
recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of
the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0 (unable to load
class [org.apache.openmeetings.util.OMContextListener])
{code}
And it will actually not create above logs, unless you manually edit add some
logging.properties as it won't even start the logger context.

But in fact OpenMeetings require Java11.

This could be probably be improved to just clearly make Java11 minimum
requirement and fail right from the start with binary version 55.0 error.

The Network testing tool is stuck on the Ping test on Safari/OSX.

Most iOS users are using Safari. And 70+ % of smartphones are iOS.

So if the network testing tool doesn't work with Safari, then large parts of
Mobile users won't be able to use it.

[jira] [Updated] (OPENMEETINGS-2365) Android/iOS/Mobile view prevent screen from sleep

2020-05-19 Thread Sebastian Wagner (Jira)

 [
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-2365?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
 ]

Sebastian Wagner updated OPENMEETINGS-2365:
---
Description:
On Mobile devices the screen will sleep after few seconds.

What happens then is that the OpenMeetings application freezes and looses
real-time connection.

So when you come back your application is out of sync.

As well as often it looses the connection and only thing you can do is reload
the browser.

This can be prevented by things like: [https://davidwalsh.name/wake-lock-shim]

But needs investigation.

  was:
THis UI just doens't work. On mobile/touch you can't right click. So you won't
be able to do what the UI tells you and "save as".

Havn't found the dialog yet. But there is a fix that may work:

But I could not find the relevant window that does this in the UI code yet.

Why do we need to send the image data via websocket at all ?

Description:
In the mobile/touch version following icons don't work:
 * Settings dialog

You can close it

You can't actually click and write anything into the text input.

So actually you can't edit any settings using this dialog right now on Touch
surface.

I know the reason why. But because the ui-dialogs are all slightly different I
probably will have to fix one by one.

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2358:

Could we increase it to another value ? What does it really mean ? Is that the
max upload size ? I don't think increasing this value higher would be a big
problem if its similar to max-upload size.

And could we handle this error more gracefully ? Having the ability to crash a
server by a user randomly triggering this method 2,3,4 times. That is not a
good prospect.

Description:
In the mobile/touch version following icons don't work:
 * Math formula

!image-2020-05-17-09-00-44-181.png|width=470,height=248!

Havn't found the dialog yet. But there is a fix that may work:

{code:java}
// Fix to move the close icon on top of the .ui-dialog-titlebar cause otherwise
// Fix to move the close icon on top of the .ui-dialog-titlebar cause otherwise
// touch-events are broken and you won't be able to close the dialog
$myDiv.parent().find('.ui-dialog-titlebar-close').appendTo($myDiv.parent());
{code}

Android/Chrome.

But I could not find the relevant window that does this in the UI code yet.

That might be some other Jira to change this dialog in the future.

=> What I meant is: the sharer dialog: There is not real reason to keep this
dialog open and on top of the whiteboard of the entire session. Starting
sharing or recording (And stopping each) could be maybe a different UI/UX.
Doesn't necessarily need a popup.

But yeah that could be solved in another Jira/discussion.

I'm not sure about the share dialog in total. Why is that a modal dialog at
all?

Also if you share on you window Chrome will present you with an option to stop
sharing too.

That might be some other Jira to change this dialog in the future.

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2277:

So the issue ain't "listen to audio" i think. I think microphone input on
Safari is broken. That is all.

I was testing with latest SNAPSHOT/Git as of what is in master right now. And
latest Kurento image from Docker.

[~solomax] [~Wellnitz] you are right one scenario failed when I was testing:

Safari on OSX microphone input is broken. There is also no sound indicator. So
its just not doing microphone input at all.

Chrome on OSX same scenario works fine.

Safari on OSX listening to audio of others also works fine.

So its just Safari input audio broken. There is no CSP error or other
JavaScript error in the console.

Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2339:

Yeah that was my same idea. On 2nd. But it is very hard. Cause you not only
need to apply draggable later but also need to find an element inside the
UI-Dialog to attach it. But it seems that would require to change the HTML
inside jquery-ui.

And changing jquery-ui internals seems very hard.

Currently I only see 2 dialog not working. The Apache Wicket-Bootstrap modal
works fine. (Can't be dragged anyway).

So at the moment its just those 2 windows:
 * Audio/video pod, re-sync.
 * Sharer modal. Can't close it.

I can do some further experiments and see if one of them works.

Sounds a bit far fetched to be honest. Based on the Jira report I can't really
connect it to the post you linked.

I think it could be that the post you linked IS and issue! But I don't think
this ticket here has to do with it. [~Wellnitz] can you provide some more info:
 * What browser you are using ?
 * What version of OpenMeetings ? (can you update to M5-SNAPSHOT and reproduce
?)
 * What version of Kurento ?

Cheers

Seb

My only idea seems to be that you would need to rewrite and stop using
${}.dialog but instead use ${}.drabable and make it a simple DIV.

"tone for enter room and exit room"

There is not such tone. This tone was a JavaScript console error. And it should
be gone now. This tone meant maybe that your device settings are wrong.
