[jira] [Updated] (NETBEANS-877) netbeans 9.0 rc1 : cannot update plugins : java source base version 2 required
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-877?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Ross Lamont updated NETBEANS-877: - Priority: Blocker (was: Minor) Sorry folks, I am moving this back to a blocker. I have done what I believe to be a clean install and I'm still getting this error. To get to a clean build I did the following: * delete the Netbeans Cache directory * delete the Netbeans User directory (for dev version only) * Start the app from a cleanly installed build downloaded today * Choose not to import old settings from 8.2 Here's my environment as reported by logs: * Product Version = Apache NetBeans IDE Dev (Build incubator-netbeans-release-302-on-20180517) * Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.13.5 running on x86_64 * Java; VM; Vendor = 10; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 10+46; Oracle Corporation * Runtime = Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 10+46 * Java Home = /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-10.jdk/Contents/Home * System Locale; Encoding = en_AU (nb); UTF-8 Here's a list of all plugins (from the logs) which are _not_ tagged __ incubator-netbeans-release-302-on-20180517. I believe they are all standard dependencies as my plugin list shows no non-standard plugins. In my case, the only 2 plugins which can't be updated are * IDE Platform * Ant I also foolishly tried the same process on the latest build, but of course the latest build has all the latest plugins so the problem can't be tested in that circumstance. > netbeans 9.0 rc1 : cannot update plugins : java source base version 2 required > -- > > Key: NETBEANS-877 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-877 > Project: NetBeans > Issue Type: Bug > Components: java - Source >Affects Versions: 9.0 > Environment: openjdk version "9-Debian" > OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 9-Debian+0-9b181-4bpo91) > OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 9-Debian+0-9b181-4bpo91, mixed mo >Reporter: hanasaki jiji >Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 9.0 > > > (I) created as "blocker" because it happens on first install and fails all > plugin updates. > installed rc1 (linux openjdk9 with the source package too - on debian 9) > java -version > openjdk version "9-Debian" > OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 9-Debian+0-9b181-4bpo91) > OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 9-Debian+0-9b181-4bpo91, mixed mode) > > netbeans updates are available however the following error is reported. > This happened with the beta's and with jdk10 too. > Some plugins require plugin Java Source Base to be installed. > The plugin Java Source Base is requested in implementation version 2. > The following plugin is affected: Java Shell Support -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
