Horace Miles commented on OPENMEETINGS-2055:

Thanks for helping with that issue Maxim,

Now I have loaded your changes and I see the progress bar.  It displayed the
progress of one upload, I have done ten and it does not display the convert
progress.  I don't know why it did it once but not any of the other times.
However,  am satisfied with this at this point until I can figure out why it is
not always showing the converting progress, it is at least saying it is
converting.

A. Couple of questions not problems

1.  What is the advantage of having the media server?

2.  Is it best to load asterisk completely and then do the configuration for
openmeetings?

Thanks ahead of time if I can help you out with testing anything else please
just let me know.

Choose file would not be and appropriate title for the box.

Also nothing happens inside the box, if that is a progress bar it never changes

This is quote from my post above:
# Upload dialog pops up when you are clicking "+" icon
# You can select one of more files
# As soon as you will click "Upload" dialog button, upload progress should be
displayed
# As soon as upload will be finished:
## all dialog controls will be hidden
## conversion progress will be displayed
## If conversion was successful dialog will be auto-closed

Good afternoon Maxim,

I loaded the complete 4.0.9 per your instructions.
 # The upload works
 # There is no ghosting of the account
 # The Choose a file window is as I previousily described i.e. the only real
option is close. This would be a great place to actually show the progress of
the conversion.  The only indicator I have that openmeetings is still doing
something is the flashing of the circle that goes around the << button on the
Files window.  I did not see what I would consider to be a progress bar
anywhere.  I am including a pick of the Choose File window that appears (I am
thinking after the file uploads) but will the file is converting the circle
going around the << button is the only indication something is happening.  See
resultwindow.png

Ok I was confused then because the snapshot.tgz only had the webapps folder
with its subfolders.  What about the files and directories that are part the om
root folder but not in the snapshot.tgz?  Such as om/work, om/target etc and
the .sh and .bat files all that would need to be moved to the new om root
folder?

If I did this correctly the 4.0.9 build creates the webapps folder.  I renamed
my webapps folder and then unzipped the one from build in it's place.  I then
changed the database settings and jee-container.xml to make sure the file size
was large enough i.e. 250 MB.

upload a file).  I can not confirm the file was uploaded as it did not show in

file.

omeetPreUpload.png show my screen on my server preUpload.

OmeetPostUpload.png show my screen after 60 seconds I get a connection lost to

If the upload does not time out, the window that is ghosted behind  connection
lost to the server appears with the only option to close there is no select

Hello Maxim,

There is no upload progess that shows, you get the spinning icon, but nothing
else.

If it does not time out, I get a second window that says Chooose file to upload

There is no upload progress unless you are talking about the spinning spoakes
in the middle and the circle that goes around the << button.  Other than that
there is nothing that is a progress indicator.  It takes approx 5 minutes for a
file to be converted and the upload is timing out after 30 - 60 seconds so
there is always a window of some sort left on the screen.  Lately the lost
connection with the server but if not that one then the second file upload
windows that you can only click close on.

Horace Miles commented on OPENMEETINGS-2055:

Hello Maxim,

I have upload the the change you made.  Couple of things.

1.  There was no ghosting of accounts noted.

2.  There is a choose file window  that comes up after approximately 30 seconds
into the upload.  (Choose File with the only option available is to close the
window).  If the intent is to allow the user to choose another file, the input
field is not enabled to do so.

the [<< ] button sort of flickers with a half circle as though some type
activity is going on.

MP3s

You are uploading the source file to
/opt/red5408/webapps/openmeetings/data/upload/files//.mp3

Then you are converting the MP3 ->MP4 format and storing it in the same
directory

However, the MP3 appears to be the file that Openmeetings is using.  Since the
MP4 format produces a smaller file that is probably theone to keep.  Currently
both source and conversion are stored server in the same folder.

It take approximately 5 minutes for the files to show up. So perhap a message
that the file is being processed and will appear in the list in a little while.
Would be a good notification to the end user that something is indeed
happening in the background.

Thanks alot for the hard work.

I still have the same issue, is there a time-out setting that needs to be
changed? It appears to try for 60 seconds and then it will give the connection
to server lost.

See attached.  I will adjust the size limits accordingly.  However openmeetings
did upload the first six which are over the set limit.  Do you know of anything
that would cause that behavior?  It appears that it may not be 100% enforcing
the size limit.

Hello [~hormiles],

According to your comments you set limit to be 100Mb, what is the size of files
you are trying to upload?
