Chris Nauroth created HADOOP-9102:
-
Summary: winutils task isAlive does not return a non-zero exit
code if the requested task is not alive
Key: HADOOP-9102
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-9102
Another more serious issue is MAPREDUCE-4478. It manifests as some TTs
burns CPU even if nothing is running. This can only be fixed by manually
restart the affected TTs.
This is a trivial patch. I think it would be good to include in all 1.x
branches.
Sorry for missing the vote. I was on vacation

I'm not a committer, could you merge the fix to branch-1.0 and
branch-1.1?
Hi,
Hadoop-1.1.1-rc0 passed on a vote of 4 "+1" binding, 3 "+1" non-binding, no
"0" or "-1".
Thanks to all who voted. I will finish publishing it over the next day or
so, and then announce it.
Andy, please commit MAPREDUCE-2374 to branch-1 and branch-1.1. That way it
will be picked up by anyone
I note that MAPREDUCE-2374 is not included in 1.1.1-rc0. Since we have
user reports of the problem surfacing, it might be worth respinning
the release to include this low-risk fix.

The moderators of this list can be contacted at common-dev-owner at

Is there no one amongst us who has list administrative rights? There's
quite some problems affecting all users of the lists that needs to be
addressed. Can I be granted rights (or at least be told how to get
them), to do the moderation/administration work myself?
