alexkingli opened a new pull request #1300: update updateMapIncr to avoid loading information form os every time URL: https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/1300 If the user group does not exist, there will be a lot of invoking the updateMapIncr . And it is the synchronized methods，it really affects performance.
