http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33154 Summary: jsvc assumes posix capabilities loaded Product: Commons Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Daemon AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] later versions of linux (e.g. 2.6.x) may have capability management configured as a module rather than compiled in. A LKML discussion is ongoing as to if this is a good idea or not, but the upshot is that jsvc will fail on capset if the kernel doesn't have the module loaded. I'd suggest a note in the release notes and/or linux faq section discussing the issue. I'd be happy to propose a doc patch -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
