My Freerunner arrived 2 days ago and I'm actually impressed by 2008.8.
(Some quirks, here and there but hey..)
I figured how to change the keyboard to something usable, (however, I
like the standard- keyboard, it is just not there yet.

I think it will be good to modify settings to open the menu on mouse
over instead of on mouse click.

The version is 2.34-r9, so I think it's somewhat current.
The first problem was the antenna not seated well (resolved, obviously).
The other problem is that the gpsd itself (?) is behaving odd.
