That's kind of problematic for privacy, with that anti-feature you can
be localized more precisely trough

What about no UMTS version, I does not use phone functionality on my
GTA02, I'm looking for devices with really good WiFi, but GPS
[cut]
What do you think? Is this the right way to go for our project?
No. Dropping that much components and functionality to have only 10-15%
price cut-off is bad idea IMHO. I would rather wait 2-3 months more to
save up some more money for fully featured device.

could you explain which of the changes will also be able for the GTA04A4 boards.
clearly hardware changes wont be there, but is eg the GPS Sampling frequency
possible for older GTA04s via a patch?

None of these changes can be applied to the GTA04A3/A4

so at what frequency is the gps signal being processed currently with the
gta04a4? if I remember correctly the gta02 had 5Hz sampling frequency?
if it was lower for the current gta04a4 than 5Hz is there any possibility that
this will change or will I have to live with a more modern phone
