Hi!
Thanks for sharing the information!
I managed to get calibration right by copying the xglamo and libts.0* files
from 2007.2 image to debian and starting xfce via ssh. It worked then with
the standard /etc/pointercal from the 2007.2 image.
But I then had the problem, that gdm didn't recognize
Hello,
Why not ask (for example) trisoft.de personally? I am sure that they will
try to arrange something if it is possible for them.

Hi,
TRIsoft is collaborating with Golden Delicious.. so if you have preordered
on the TRIsoft site there should be no problem at all.

Yes, people in Europa can buy from TRIsoft (maybe also 10-pack, it's best to
mail TRIsoft about this).
Next time please check the TRIsoft website, it tells you the price(350 Euro
+ shipping).

The question is: Who is correct? Has there been an agreement? Or is this
just another case of miscommunication?
I would be pleased to get an official answer from an employee.

I (not affiliated with OM inc. at all) would say it's very probable,
90% or so that the gta02 will be selling at the begin of june.
I'm looking forward to it!

Everyone would take out the battery just because they have a feeling that
the might be bugged? You'd have to set the time/date anew everytime etc..
It would be much more convenient if somehow you could be sure that when its
off it really is, and I think with OM you can be quite sure :)
If anyone gets openmoko to run on a nokia 770 tablet, please let me know,
that would be so cool! Just to test OM and not having to use maemo all the
time :)

No, it's not known yet when the GTA-02 will be available, but it looks like
december/january. At least that's what the openmoko team is trying if I
believe rightly?
And no, it can't be preordered yet.
Hope it will be available soon :)

Exactly, and as far as I can see Openmoko has come a long way. And the
hardware is important too, I really like the GTA02 and am looking forward to
buying it. Once Openmoko is a stable and powerful OS I will be able to do so
much with it. Much better than an OSS-android and CSS software by the
The maemo OS 2007 has two menus, one for finger and one for stylus,
somehow it can detect(I suppose bigger surface diameter) whether a
stylus or a finger is used, the finger menu then is much bigger, very
handy!

So you have to get used to it every time again? doesn't seem like a very
good idea.
My experience is that people like to get used to things and do them like the
got used to, not change..

You want to accept money from MS? Would be quite ironic :P
A little strange that MS would not check their randomly selected winners..
They might just want to give us a chance ;)

the police are doing, described in the
article, is this only software or can that be done with only the gsm
chip or so? My question is actually: Is the neo protected against this
kind of bugging or not? It's not that I'm a terrorist or so but I just
don't feel very safe otherwise ;)

Hello,
I heard that red/green colour 'illness' (the most colourblind people
just can't see any difference between red and green or blue and green,
like me:P).
So one could just avoid these colours to make differences.. For
example in gaim on the maemo platform people who have written are
marked
Thanks a lot for all the answers!
My main point was if the state, well, anyone who had connections to
the carriers, could turn the neo into a bug too.. And it seems that it
isn't possible cause of the software mixer being off when the device
is off :)
And david? I use gmail, yes ;) Luckily I can
But you shouldn't forget the people who aren't so technical and still
want to have a phone that can do a lot, there are loads running around
with win mobile phones.
They won't be attracted by the ads showing how they can be freed,
cause they won't care if they are free or not, they just want to
I am left-handed too. And I noticed on my nokia 770 a lot of
interaction is needed on the right side, not only the scrollbar but
also the exit button etc. Maybe there would be a way to just turn the
window around, left side to the right, and vice versa? Should be a
pretty basic thing to
I would agree, I didn't really think when saying it should be mirrored
;) I thought about it and at the moment I think only the scrollbar
should be changed..
But I am still a little confused about how an application gets closed?
I can't see an X anywhere, and I couldn't find any information in
I think youtube is a very good means to spread some adverts..
Why not try it that way?
A lot of people/products have been promoted that way :)

Does this mean the Neo 1973 has this hardware? That would just be fantastic
:)
When will Phase 2 be ready?
3d desktop would be really cool too, but I think the desktop at the moment
is best for such a small screen..

IR LED would be perfect!
Just think, normal mobiles like my siemens can't access the IR hardware
because java(on the siemens) doesn't allow it. Only symbians can access IR
as far as I know..
It would be brilliant if I could use the openmoko as a remote for my hifi
and my pc maybe, and for tv,
I have flash on my nokia 770, that works fine and its an ARM9 if I'm
correct? So why not use the implementation that nokia has? It works just
fine for me..
