I'm using Freerunner and debug board v3, and trying to use serial console, and
Ubuntu 8.04 on my PC.
I have connected the FR and the debug board with the flexible cable. The
/dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 doesn't show up, but only /dev/ttyACM0, when I
connected both USB of freerunner and

You can if your image must include implementation of the low level print
function that write characters to hardware register.
not a statically linked linux userspace helloworld program.
