Make that four buttons so it can work as a second d-pad. That works really
well on the Zodiac, DS and GP2X. Also four shoulder buttons would be nice,
one for every corner. Would make it very flexible and great for 2 players on
one device games.

Using the Wiimote would make more sense as it would easily connect through

I'd love to see a future OpenMoko device with a d-pad and a few gaming

No, the PSP stick is crap. We don't really need anything analog, the
touchscreen does that fine. What we could use are some decent, solid
buttons and/or a d-pad.

I agree. Different needs should be addressed in different products,
not everything put into one device. I understand people wanting an
OpenMoko keyboard phone. I don't have any real use for buttons on a
touchscreen phone, though. (Other than for gaming.)

Holding the second tap is a bad idea but dragging it around might be a
good one. All in all, how about this:
drag finger -- drag viewable area
tap, then tap
Dragging motions to the left/right could display the next/last
picture. Maybe even better: Only require a single touch at the left or
right side of the screen. Makes the screen last longer and is faster.
Left and right would be two sides each because the phone could be held
upwards and sideways,
Don't forget that phones have vibrators. They could be used in cunning
ways with a relatively simple UI to provide feedback and thus
usability of touchscreens for even completely blind people.

The thing has bluetooth so it should be able to connect to the
Wiimote. Using one instead of an internal accelerometer makes sense,
because when you move your phone around, it's hard to keep looking at
the screen.

Since you're going to have to reencode your videos for OpenMoko
