Yeah the default keyboard is not the Illume one, hope this will be
changed soon. And also the Terminal keybaord may be default with Illume
keyboard too.
I did:
#Add/modify export QTOPIA_NO_VIRTUAL_KEYBOARD=1 in
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/89qtopia
sed -i -e s,asu,illume,
Crashes are a VERY well known problem with LOTS of emails on the list.
switch to the software engine, or remove the dropshadow module.

no, Raster's keyboard work in ASU too, but ASU profile just

Do you have these installed?
illume-keyboards-default
illume-keyboards-numbers
illume-keyboards-terminal
I removed the first two and just left terminal to stop it falling back
to default at inopportune times.
Make sure the default keyboard is selected in the illume config tool

Did you delete the /home/root/.e directory before a full reboot?
May need to stop X first before delete as well - not sure but as you are
having problems ...

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Qtopia release has this already, I

My bubble is off :-(.
Yes it is the same. So Qtopia has it. It would be nice on OpenMoko too.

I think it's cool anyways. Since the code is pretty small it can be
used as an example.
Also, since OM doesn't use qtopia as default, it would be nice if we
had a gtk version of qtopia's keyboard (if integration is not
possible).
