I just installed the 2008.9 kernel and the latest FDOM jffs2 as in:

knowing that fdom is not a distro but only a set of scripts i have to
wonder... can you please post exact links to your kernel and rootfs you
had flashed?

I am also affected by the WSOD and read many about it.
So I try several things and figured out that WSOD is gone if I keep the
freerunner over 30°C AND suspend it by the power button.
If I dont switch of dimming and automatic suspend - everytime the WSOD will
appear.

After looking over the comments in the WSOD ticket and considering my own
experience, I am wondering is this not
Hi Greg,
I have a brand new device (2 weeks old!) and sinve I installed 2008.9
i do face WSOD. Never dropped the device! This issue is a show stopper
as it prevents to use it as a phone.
to the developers: PLEASE give the highest priority to that.
