git.openmoko.org / GTA02 kernel sources?
I tried to fetch the latest kernel sources from http://git.openmoko.org/?p=kernel.git;a=summary for learning something, but it appears that the server has some failure: iMac:tmp hns$ git clone git://git.openmoko.org/git/kernel.git linux-2.6 Initialized empty Git repository in /private/tmp/linux-2.6/.git/ remote: fatal: Out of memory, realloc failed remote: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side. fatal: early EOF fatal: index-pack failed iMac:tmp hns$ So my main question is where I can get recent enough kernel sources from? That also raises more general questions: * who (person, company) is responsible for git.openmoko.org? * even more general: who is responsible for openmoko.org? * if nobody, how can we protect that it suddenly completely disappears because some room manager unplugs the power cord or nobody pays the annual fee for the domain registration? Hi! this is just a feedback. I'm using qtmoko v21 on gta02 v7 with an italian vodafone sim. I tried to send a long sms (3 pages) without succes receiving the usual error message about sending sms. The receiver received only a part of the sms. Instead receiving long sms seems to work well, I received a 4 pages long sms without problem. Re: community Digest, Vol 180, Issue 6
Florian and Radek and others, Thanks alot for your attentions. I started again from zero... reflashed my neo (and then: apt-get update, apt-get install gpsd). Still no GPS; NeronGPS is permanently stuck in waiting for a fix... I need gpsd right? There seems to be some confusion about this...? (1) I have modified the sysfs node pointer such that: neo:~# cat /opt/qtmoko/bin/gps-poweron.sh #!/bin/sh if [ -e /sys/bus/platform/devices/neo1973-pm-gps.0 ]; then echo 1 /sys/devices/platform/s3c2440-i2c/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/pcf50633-regltr.7/neo1973-pm-gps.0/power_on fi if [ -e /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron ]; then echo 1 /sys/devices/platform/s3c2440-i2c/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/pcf50633-regltr.7/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron fi I then ran dpkg-reconfigure gpsd to get: neo:~# cat /etc/default/gpsd # Default settings for gpsd. # Please do not edit this file directly - use `dpkg-reconfigure gpsd' to # change the options. START_DAEMON=true DAEMON_OPTS= DEVICES=/dev/ttySAC1 USBAUTO=false from which (after switching on GPS in devtools) neo:~# head -n 20 /dev/ttySAC1 $GPTXT,01,01,02,u-blox ag - www.u-blox.com*50 $GPTXT,01,01,02,$GPRMC,,V,,N*53 $GPVTG,N*30 $GPGGA,,0,00,99.99,,*48 $GPGSA,A,1,99.99,99.99,99.99*30 $GPGSV,1,1,00*79 $GPGLL,,V,N*64 $GPZDA,00,00*48 $GPRMC,,V,,N*53 $GPVTG,N*30 I like running cat /dev/ttySAC1 and switching on/off GPS in devtools, and I get the expected behaviour; so I believe GPS is being switched on and off correctly.
