It's best to avoid using PATH_MAX as e.g. the Hurd operating system removed useless limitations and doesn't support this as well. So if it's possible to eliminate usage of PATH_MAX ... Re: qi-bootmenu-0.1 problem with menu
On Tue, Jun 08, 2010 at 02:12:11PM +0200, Fox Mulder wrote: Hi, i use latest qi-bootmenu v0.1 for my GTA02 but i have a strange problem. When i powerup my Freerunner and than press AUX to start the bootmenu it always shows the big openmoko logo and starts the bootmenu. But it doesn't always show the possible bootable partitions. I tried it 15 times and in 7 cases it shows all three bootable partitions on my sd-card. In the other 8 cases it only shows poweroff in the bootmenu. And the cases when it worked and when not seemed randomly distributed. Is this a bug or do i have to do something else to get it working all the time? It could be that the sd card is not yet ready when the bootmenu is started. The following commit which isn't included in the pre build binaries should help for the second stage part. http://repo.or.cz/w/qi-bootmenu.git/commitdiff/cff6a8120a645fc2687742d0710a6bef0ee32b44 You could try tweaking the first stage kernel parameters (rootdelay=...). Once I find some time I will update everything to 2.6.34 and give it some more testing. However I am currently quite busy. Re: [QtMoko] FR dying unexpectedly?
Sometimes (at least once per month?) my FR dies unexpectedly: sometimes it happens when I receive a phone call, even if my FR does not die when the same phone number calls before and after the Call of Death. ... The same happens to me. At least with Qt based distributions like QtExtended an QtMoko. It happens completely randomly, but, sometime, when charging, the ssh connection remains and it is possible to reboot even if the screen looks dead. Cheers, Giacomo __ Do You Yahoo!? [qtmoko v24] terminal-only after flashing
Hi All, Long time I didn't installed QtMoko. Lately, after flashing recent QtMoko v24 or v23 into NAND I get only terminal with login prompt after boot. I am also having trouble with reaching FR over ssh. With v24 I was able to set up usb0 interface with correct address and routing, but FR didn't respond to ping/nmap/ssh With v23 i get ethX interface with correct address and routing but also no luck with reaching FR. It could be that modem failed to initialize because of low battery. Or maybe stupid theory - but have you flashed apropriate v24 kernel? I am also having trouble with reaching FR over ssh. It could be bad USB cable. Try another cable/USB slot on your PC. Of course it can be something totally different...
