[QtMoko] Accelerometers
Hello everyone, I'm developing my first QtMoko application in which I'd like to use accelerometers. Is there any QtClass which is suitable for that goal? Have you got any hints? But it does not work in qx even, at least for me. - what I do is: - from my desktop ssh to neo: ssh 192.168.0.202 - and then start my script: ./px11vnc.sh - from another window on my desktop run: vncviewer 192.168.0.202 my Neo display then shows up on my desktop and as long as I keep the mouse pointer in the Neo window I can type into text messages etc from the desktop machine. I do exactly the same, but I can't input... Does that help? No, but thanks alike. Hmmm . . not sure what else I can suggest . . and clicking with the mouse on Neo icons definitely doesn't work either? Phil. Hi Phil, I installed a new OS (kubuntu 11.04) and a new vnc client (krdc) and I tried x11vnc again. I obtained similar results, with the same problem, but I noticed an error (new?): 25/05/2011 12:05:02 pipeinput: starting: "./qt_tslib_inject_kbdhack.pl"... Can't locate ./kbdhack.pl in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at ./qt_tslib_inject_kbdhack.pl line 36. Have you got any idea on when I can find that file? Thanks Giacomo ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
free freerunner
hi all, I have a spare openmoko neo freerunner (gta02) that's just sitting in it's box. I'd be glad to give it to somebody who would actually do something with it. So if you need/ want a freerunner, drop me a line. (Contact me for details. Hi Sengechungchung I would definitely be glad to have another Neo with me.I already have one and using it as my Daily Phone with QTMoko on it.If I get this one then I am planning to do some more rigorous testing and hacking of hardware mostly related to GPS and Wifi. Please let me know if you will be able to send it to Cork ( Ireland ) as I am located in Ireland.I will pay the Shipping cost. May be Neo will get a new daddy in Ireland ;) Thanks Shamsul On Wed, May 25, 2011 at 12:41 PM, f f wrote: > hi all, > > I have a spare openmoko neo freerunner (gta02) that's just sitting in it's > box. There is no QT API right now, you have to read straight from the input device: https://github.com/radekp/qtmoko/tree/master/src/3rdparty/games/qtmaze or https://github.com/radekp/qtmoko/blob/master/src/3rdparty/applications/qx/rotate.h https://github.com/radekp/qtmoko/blob/master/src/3rdparty/applications/qx/rotate.cpp Regards Radek ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

I thought it was a known one, isn't it? sometimes I use wifi to check emails before going to sleep and can happens I forget to reboot my gta02, so the following morning I find my battery almost empty or phone in power-off state (it shuts down itself when the charge is under certain level) (IIRC there is nothing in the v35 changelog about this topic) -- ALFA21 IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Basically, ``ls /sys/bus/platform/drivers/s3c2440-sdi'', it should let you know if the module (even when built-in) is binded or not. It shouldn't be if you want the card to not drain the battery. ``echo s3c2440-sdi > .../unbind'' (or bind) is how to handle this manually.
