The walkie talkie idea got me thinking: Instead of having a push to
talk, it should be easy to implement a sound activated cry to talk and
thereby have a baby alarm.

A corollary to changing the speed of the vibration is creating the bass
of a ringtone out of vibrating the surface beneath the phone. The last
Nokia I had did this for some of its polyphonic ringtones, but only to
emphasize the bass, not produce it.
