Any update for the October release?
Hi, I know everyone is working hard on the project, I just wonder if there is any update on the new version originally planned for October? I didn't see any update on the road map. Will there be an advanced kit as well? Thanks, keep up the good work, looking forward to see (and buy) the new release. Amazing project, by the way. Re: Any update for the October release?
Hi, I'm gathering information for my next update which I'll probably send out around Friday, and I hope to have more information. I think in general we can safely say that GTA02 will not be out in October, and in fact if you see any mention of October on the website or wiki please let me know. Re: Innovative user interface idea

I wouldn't exactly call that innovative. (it's been done before). I'd, personally, like it if most used (or recently used) apps to be moved to the top. Either in grid form, or in carousel form. That way you'd save a lot of scrolling to get to the wanted app. --- Marcel ___ OpenMoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Re: Exact release date of GTA01Bv4??
Hi Community Hi, welcome! When is the exact release date of GTA01Bv4? The new Neo phone Do you mean the GTA02? There is no announcement yet. And just for my curiosity: how do you define exact release date? a) the first announcement that you can order b) the first device did leave the production line c) the first real shipment has started d) the first owner has it in his hands? -- hns ___ OpenMoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: Exact release date of GTA01Bv4??
Hi I would define 'exact release' date to be the first day the devices are shipped. On 22 Oct 2007, at 11:45, Dr. H. Nikolaus Schaller wrote: Hi Community Hi, welcome! Re: Possible to add OpenMoko to the email title
Thanks Charles, that gives me some idea of where to start. On 10/20/07, Charles [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: This is my first post to any mailing list. I hope I did it right... I ran across the OpenMoko project a few days ago and I think it looks really promising. I want to wait until the consumer release before I start messing with it though =P. Anyway, to address your second question: In the reading I have done, I understand that OpenMoko applications will be written in GTK+ (if you don't want to be a deviant). GTK+ is a C library. I toyed around it it a bit designing interfaces with Glade and what-not, but I never really got too far into it before I fried my computer - and then again a month lather. Try these: http://www.gtk.org/tutorial/ http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Application_Developer That should give you a start I hope.
