ext3

nothing in /var/log/messages

I've cleaned the partition and mount it again and restart qpe. After that it
started again.

 Hi Alexander,
how do you exactly mount it? Have you copied all the files from
NAND's /home/root to the sdcard? Otherwise i cant see why it should be
problem. For me in v11 it works:

So sorry for my late answer I was in holiday

so all the sms was recieved after changing to flight mode I don't know why and
then I recieved all the second time I canged from flight-mode to normal mode.

I think the problem is that the phone doesn't wake up on sms. If the phone is
online I get all sms directly. But if the phone is in power safe the sms
stay on sim and messages doesn't call them

Re: [QtMoko] New images with experimental X support

2009-07-10 Thread Alexander Syring
Hi Radek

Thanks for the dpkg output.
For saving space you could install localepurge that saves 30MB if all locales
except Locale-C are removed.

neo1973-debian:~# localepurge
localepurge: Disk space freed in /usr/share/locale: 29877K
localepurge: Disk space freed in /usr/share/man: 155K

Total disk space freed by localepurge: 30032K

and you should deinstall and purge all xserver-xorg-video packages except
xserver-xorg-video-fbdev

 Hi,
i have updated my QtMoko debian base images [1]. You can find some
general info on homepage [2] and sources in git [3].

 Most important changes include:

 * upgrade to QT 4.5.2 which should improve speed
 * merge from other QtMoko branches with many bug fixes
 * added nice new QtMaze game
 * fixed problem so that apt-get should work out of the box now

This new version should be stable as daily phone.

You can also download QtMoko images based on FSO. For more info please
 see QtMoko homepage [4].

The FSO images seem to be a bit faster. This is one thing that keeps me
puzzled. What could make the speed different? Same binary on different
rootfs should be the same fast. Anyone has idea why FSO is faster?

 Anyway enjoy images

present on a phone there is a wee nipple, (for want of a better word) on
the 5 key so that people can feel it and know where they are. (That's
great but what's better to my mind is that all the Euro Bank Notes have
different markers on them so that blind people know how much money

Back on point of this question. Do blind people use phones and if so how
will a blind person use a phone with no keypad, (and hence the nipple)?
Actually given that the person is blind you could get rid of the screen
 altogether?

This may all seem a bit off topic but I thought that FreeRunner with the
gesture stuff would be so brilliant for blind people. Started thinking
that if you could tap morse on the phone and have it detected and
converted into text that'd be brilliant. Perhaps Blind people have
 special phones?

If I knew a blind person I could find out.

Perhaps there's a project in taking a FreeRunner and removing the
screen, (either VGA or QVGA I don't care ;-) and have really good speech
recognition in it and for get the morse altogether. Could the phone read
