Hi,
Anybody got any success for editing CAD files for the phone case?
Basically I am trying to get them open in brlcad (which seems to be the best
free CAD software ever),
without any success yet.
I had some success in VariCad demo (proprietary) where parts of the design
are imported using STEP
Great,
If there are people up to it, I hope someone will get it done sometime
(soon?).
I also got an email from someone named Christoph,
he might do it tonight.
I hope whoever is first will post to the newsgroup,
so there is no dublication of effort.
As of getting IGES files loading into BRL-CAD
It seems that I can't (for the lag of a better word) load the brlcad
converter in Pro/E. The rather vague PDF calls for a file labeled *protk.dat*
that shoul reside inside a /pro_engineer/ directory in the brlcad branch. I
neither could find the file nor the directory. (I only tried the
Lothar's files are availalbe via

Thank you, Lothar, for doing the conversion. Let's hope that someone can
figure out the problem with the last resiting files.
Regards,
Claus

Nice!
Actually I am just testing if this will break a thread or not :P

for the software to mature does not seem like a solution to me,
I would wait for the technological utopia to materialize instead ;)

I found some really interesting an well explained video about sim card hack
(and others)
at http://www.citizenengineer.com/.
Maybe its possible to store sim cards into memory,
and get rid of the hardware? Imagine the possibilities!

Basically what I understood it is meant to be free-for-all,
but the producers promise to make enough for everyone.
Maybe it can take longer to get your hands on one,
but I would expect if there is demand, the supply will be romped up.
Also notice that you can preorder from trisoft @:
controls, more power, external interfaces, body of a robot... etc

I am positive you should have to turn the dialer manually for most user
friendliness :D
While hilarious this could become a killer feature to make a phone for the
technologically challenged.

Hello there,
I found this link in Google news. Its a list of applications users might
want for iPhone.

I think by replacing iPhone with OpenMoko we would not make a big mistake.

Hello there,
I am just a random developer, not something in open source or linux world
trough.
As many developers over the world I would love to own a version of Neo1973
phone, with stable hardware and usable software.
I understand there are many stumbling blocks to be overcome by the OpenMoko
