speedy answer sir! Works like a charm - thanks. I'd notice the same 
glitch with the neronGPS-icon. Everything got installed correctly but no 
icon in the launcher... Anyway everything's working now...

[QtMoko] how to get rid off mail-count on homescreen

Just switched for testing purpose to QtMoko.

I've downloaded a large number of emails, deleted them and emptied the 
trash.

But evidently not entirely, 'cos i do see a message count on my 
home-screen. How do i get rid off this?

Same here. With an old frameworkd.conf (date 18.08.09) I've got GSM 
working again.

Drawbacks: no suspend, but apm -s is working.

Besides I found the design very stylish.

The usual route of conversation goes like this:

"whats this...?"

me: openmoko

"..." takes it "like iphone..."

me: it's not an iphone...

"touchscreen..."

me: and it runs on linux

"..?" and i got a square look. The point of interest is fading...
