What's the model of the SIM card? I've had an issue where an old SIM
card would only register after a few minutes, and some distros had a
bug where they'd get confused if the registration didn't happen early
enough. Qtopia would register fine, but Android and anything using FSO
would not. See http:
Can you please elaborate? Do any of the actions you mentioned actually
BREAK fso-gpsd?

To check the raw data coming out of the device, do
cat /dev/ttySAC1 | grep GGA
This should give you a line of data every second or so. Once a fix has
been established, these lines contain latitude, longitude values in
plain ASCII. The gpsd daemon (whether true gpsd or fso-gpsd) should
make this d
As Andy said in another post, there are some kernel patches coming to
fix this. I have much better luck after I apply this patch:
http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/gitweb?p=kernel.git;a=commit;h=c0a2797d7ba8f6e07187794ccd2664ca3209b613
This isn't in the stable kernel tree yet, so Andy's still working
The code in SVN is significantly different (newer) than what's in
debian. Look at http://matchbox-project.org/get_involved.html
