Actually Dictator does not manipulate any state-file. It provides its own. One for playing files that has been recorded, one for recording. It loads the recording-state and changes two switches, depending on what you'd like to record. It backups the previous state and reloads it when it is done.

Hello, I'd prefer speex-encoding. If you'd like to record voice, this codec is the most appropriate choice, I think. As I read throughout my search for an alternative to wav-recording, ogg encoding is quite slow. But I haven't tried out the performance of speex-encoding. Any experiences? Matthi

Hello dear list, can anyone tell me how to disable the functions of the poewer button of gta02? It starts a reboot after 4 or 5 seconds pressing it and powers off the device after some 6 or 8 seconds. How to disable both? Please help! Best regards Matthias
