The title pretty much sums it up. My screen cracked, seemingly unprovoked.

I can now attest to the fact that staring at the maps without getting a fix
is only marginally more fun than that.

I didn't mention it, but I did just that. I stood in a field, looking at
grasshoppers for 5 minutes. That's when I decided to take a walk.
This weekend, I left my FR on a table in the back yard for 20 minutes. Still
no fix.

I just took my FR outdoors for a walk. I was holding it in my hand, there
was a clear view of most of the sky, and it didn't get a fix after 15
minutes.
So, where do I start? Is there a log file somewhere that I can look at to
see what's going on?

Very curious.
Is there, perhaps, another application I can use to just get GPS coordinates
and verify that this works, at least?

Any pointers on where to start fixing some of these would be appreciated.

I'll have to give this a try the next time I'm near an AP. Mine is 7000
miles away. It has decent range, but nothing approaching 7000 miles.
The kernel is 2.6.24.

S server doesn't appear to be set at all.
Setting it manually in /etc/resolv.conf didn't seem to do anything when I
tried with two different access points.

satisfactory response, or any response at all
if I take their version of the story to be true - which I have no reason not
to.
Since I've been waiting for a fix for nearly 10 months, I feel I've been
extremely patient. But even my patience (which is otherwise legendary, I can
from has been apparently ignoring my emails about this and when I called
them to ask they told me that they're not getting answers from Openmoko.
It's been over 9 months since I first contacted them about the buzz.

Is anyone else not seeing any of the SIM contacts in QTExtended?
This used to work with the previous release of QTopia. I get this when
running with the mwester kernel.

The handwriting recognition engine appears to be wired into the
same "prediction" engine, resulting in letters that were recognized
correctly to be randomly replaced with incorrect letters.
Is this a bug, or is that the intended behavior?
