Some sort of intelligent display. Like one can be found on bank automata.
Or on information displays (buying ticket for the train,
HMI interface in factories on big machines, etc).

So its basically a black and white display with an onscreen keypad, with
a wifi connection. Easy to integrate, and easy to deploy.

 Just a hunch;)

Re: Getting rid of Android

2008-12-24 Thread Orlando
I Hate to tell you this, but you can try to format your sd card (just to
fat32 or ext3) in another Linux box. Then, install another Linux distro in
your openmoko...

The problem as I see it is that your sd card has a lot of partitions right ?

something very similar. And when I do 'dfu-util -l' i get about 7
partitions, all of which are marked as UNKNOWN.

You might want to try installing any other distro on the microsd
and boot from it. Then you can use fdisk to remove those partitions
 and try again.

When I run tangogps it tells me that I have no gps. It is weird because I

agpsui does not use gpsd but reads the device directly.
gpsd is in the repos -- simply install.

This is happening with the stable image.

FreeRunner is not sleeping.

2008-09-02 Thread Orlando
Hi to All,

I just updated everything yesterday night... after that my openmoko doesn't
sleep. When I go to the Settings app and select 10 / 30 / 60 seconds, it
would just ignore it.

Does anyone where I can change that? I really want it to sleep...

Re: FreeRunner is not sleeping.

2008-09-02 Thread Orlando
Hi there, e

By sleep I meant suspend. After the upgrade I tried to configure the
suspend mode to 10 / 30 / 60 seconds... none of them work... It keeps active
all the time.

Is there a workaround for this?

The battery will finish really fast if It keeps like that.

thanks in advance.

Re: Is it possible to pair a motorola hs820 blue tooth headset with neo free runner

I really think it is possibly. If you check the documentation in the wiki,
that might help you.

http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Bluetooth
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Manually_using_Bluetooth

As I see it.. it seems to require some nice interface in order to
communicate with the enduser properly.

Any volunteer? :)
