OK, first I will let translation. Then, with your help I'll go to

OK, i get it. Next question, sometimes some strings are much longer in
Polish than in English. Do you prefer me to keep it line to line ratio,
or should I break long ones to two shorter lines?

Hi Joshua,
great idea with enabling LP translations. However one thing is bothering
me: only actual messages should be translated, not it's formating.
Example:

1) Present is:
POI has no ID -> see website for help!

2) Should be:
POI has no ID -> see website for help!

Any hint what to do? Should we leave such strings untranslated until
strings are fixed?

Hi all, and especially Nikolaus,
here http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone/operators-and-oems they write:
"We have the needs of [...] OEMs and ODMs in mind in bringing Ubuntu to
the phone."
Keeping in mind huge Ubuntu's users base, this might be quite a chance
for GTA04 or it's successor, to have a lot of new users and a way enter
mass production. It is also a chance to supply mass market with open
hardware devices. The tricky part is to provide the device before others
do, and provide it with decent, flat chassis.
Am I thinking right, Nikolaus?

P.S. Yura: when starting new topic, it's better to start new thread

Thanks for the info. Just looked at the roadmap, but couldn't find it:
do you plan to support maps in vector format? They are way smaller than
tiles, which is essential for GPS software, where you do not have

SIM contacts are stored on a SIM card, so writing NAND does not delete

Radek asked you to paste output from terminal, not to describe what you
see on it. He did it for one important reason. It might happen that you
miss some information that might be vital for solving your problem.
>
> I have two freerunners on my desk,
That situation is comfortable for debugging. If you do not fear of
breaking another FR, you can repeat exactly the same procedure with
working FR and check if it is valid, and allows you to flash FR and make
it work.

> one has v35 on it from those downloads and exact same commands.
If that is true, this would mean that definitely something is wrong with
the device, not the flashing procedure itself. Are you sure that both FR
are the same revision (A4,A5,A6, buzz-fixed or not)?

[cut]
> Does anyone have any ideas about a failed NAND
[cut]
That is what I was about to ask. How many time did you (and all previous
users) flashed internal NAND? AFAIR it doesn't have many write cycles
guaranteed by producent, however [1] says different.

[OT] Blackout of en.wikipedia.org

2012-01-18 Thread Patryk Benderz
[Crossposting to openmoko-community and shr-user MLs]

Sorry for crossposting but IMHO topic is important.
Wikipedia community announced its decision to black out the
English-language Wikipedia for 24 hours, worldwide, beginning at 05:00
UTC on Wednesday, January 18. The blackout is a protest against proposed
legislation in the United States - (SOPA) and (PIPA) - that, if passed,
would seriously damage the free and open Internet:

Sorry for disturbing you, if you were not interested.

Great to hear you have reopened, thanks. But IMHO another week is still
not enough, just after Christmas time there is a New Year's time, and
many people I know went for holidays between those two events (one
