I do understand if you can't/won't tell us but I have to ask anyway,
how many Freerunners were in the first batch?

Calculate cardinal points from GPS?

2008-05-22 Thread Tomas Gustavsson
Hello!

First I would like to say that I'm a newbie when it comes to GPS, so
please don't bash (or korn ;)) me if my thinking is rather stupid.

I was thinking if was possible to calulate the cardinal points (N,E,S,W)
by the difference (in longitude and latitude) between your current
location and a fixed one. By doing so we should have our compass, at
least in my mind ;).

So what do you think guys? Is this even possible?

P.S Hmm I think that I just understood that this isn't possible, at
least not with just one fixed location as difference :/. Maybe it's
possible with let's say 10 fixed coordinates as reference?

Best regards

/Tomas "tomplast"

p

I do not know if this is true but I read somewhere that dosemu wins over
dosbox in performance any day. Does anyone knows if this is true?
Because, if it's that way then we should really ditch dosbox and focus
on dosemu for our nostalgia ;).

Wiki distorted in Firefox 3?

2008-05-05 Thread Tomas Gustavsson
I'm running Firefox 3 Beta 5 in Ubuntu 8.04 and the OpenMoko wiki menu
(the one to the left) is placed a long way down (instead of at the
top). Is this a Firefox bug or a css problem?

Re: QEMU slooooow

I totally agree with you. I have tried OpenMoko several times through
QEMU but the waiting has been unreasonable long so the testing doesn't
last very long...

Re: SAR?

Kidding with me? 2.0 W/Kg are the limits in Europe. If I didn't read
wrong it was below 1 W/Kg for Freerunner.

Battery time?

2008-04-14 Thread Tomas Gustavsson
At the Openmoko wiki I have found some info about the battery life for
the GTA01 but almost nothing about GTA02 (Freerunner). At least someone
must have tested how long the battery last before a recharge is needed?
And how long will you be able to talk before the battery runs out,
anyone who knows from experience?
