T9 code and iphone off topic question

Hi I would like to know if there is some code in openmoko repository implementing T9 like input method. And if you know some pointers to start prgramming with the iphone. My idea is to write a T9 like system for the iphone and than reuse, and share the code from openmoko project. I have looked in

Is there an emulator to start playing with the software, I'm interested in developing a the ability to chose witch net to chose and in witch priority. I leave on the border with italy and slovenia and would like to minimize the bill ;) ... and yes of course I will buy one the first second it
