Re: [Neovento-5.4] angle brackets I have, but apt-get did not.
The angle brackets were already in actually. Try the 123 button. Concerning the apt-get problem, maybe you should try another mirror. I recommend also to use the latest 5.6 image, as it was apt-get upgraded just yesterday. http://opensvn.csie.org/fyp/releases/5/neovento5.6_GTA02.jffs2 gpe-taskmanager is in and on AUX button (press 1sec) Fingertier is in. lxpanels are backgrounded. clare johnstone wrote: Hi, am now starting on version 5.4, a bit late... That image is in the repo now. So what actually do you want to know? It's obvious that building a neovento is pretty easy. If something is unclear, ask me. The reason is simple: since Qi was fixed to properly provide factory-configured MAC address for the usb networking interface, it's detected on the host as it should, every time udev sees that device it'll assign the same static interface to it (in the simplest case it'll be eth1), that's the main improvement actually! I've heard you're using some web-forum (is it really true?) i can't imagine you'll get any help from the other devs using such a crappy method. neovento is not such a professional distribution like all the others like SHR, Android, OM and so on. Additionally it is quite new. I started it just about four months ago as a one man fun thing. That it actually turned into something useful for some people is nice. I think you have a completely wrong idea of the whole thing. We have one thread on the fyp forum, that's right. It's just for some communication within that community. I actually don't know what's crappy on that and why we need so much help from the devs? When there were issues I just mailed into the debianonfreerunner mailinglist and got response. Works with Qi. You just have to know what's going on and then it's easy. That information should have been distributed a few months ago and that way that everyone gets it who uses Qi. The font option is quite new in the debian on freerunner script, I like that too. Actually, when you see the picture, X already started some time ago. I have not yet looked at them to see how that sizing is done but it will be obvious I expect. The keyboard resize - please could it be made not quite so hairtrigger in use? and could it come up lower on the screen? because I was finding that to reduce the number of lines needed several tries. Even better please tell me how to set the initial size of the keyboard. (Although I now find I dont really need to do that, with the shorter keyboard the current one fits.) The keyboard was designed to be fingerfriendly, that makes it so huge. The size is actually hard coded, you could change some values in the sources to get a smaller keyboard. I don't know if the sizing is that obvious, it seems to be relate to the space bar somehow indirectly or directly.
