FR as wireless mouse
OK, so it's been on the wiki for a while now, to use the FR and accelerometers as a wireless mouse. I even bought a bluetooth USB adapter so I could use it as such, since I was under the impression it was already done in Remoko. It's not, all I got was a wireless touchpad. I already HAVE a touchpad on my laptop, thank you. :P So is anyone ever going to do this? -- Thanks, The Digital Pioneer ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
Re: FR as wireless mouse
You could try to submit a bug report / feature request on remoko. I assume it could be expanded:) ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

What do you think about the FR also as a USB mouse (in order to charge it when you use it)? Re: FR as wireless mouse
I am sorry to ruin your dreams, but the accelerometer is nowhere accurate enough for this to work. It only really works well for rotations (since the gravity then changes). Re: FR as wireless mouse
Yeah, you're the guy whose blog gave me the idea. I never heard of it again. If you won a competition with it, it must work to some extent... Is there any way to do it yet? I don't need a whole lot of precision, as long as it doesn't skip all over the screen like a bad optical mouse. :P ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

I would too, if I knew the first thing about physics, vectors, and accelerometry. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
