Yes. Are we talking: Cosmetic changes - option of coloured covers, a 24K gold neckchain, ... Minor changes - limited power on the USB port, another couple of buttons, maybe an accelerometer chip jammed in somewhere. Major changes - entire new subsystems. Everything changes - it's a completely different phone, with some more features, and source only compatibility? I'll be talking more about this stuff in the coming months. I just don't want to say anything at this point. But don't worry about being an early adopter. Would EDGE addition be a possibility, or are such changes too big? (apriori it's a change of the gsm module, dunno how different the AP's OS would have to be to follow) Regards Florent ___ OpenMoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org https://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Re: Hardware changes between phases ?
Make sure you don't misread Sean's announcement - Phase 2 refers to the mass public sales of the v1 device. The 'introduction' of the v2 device at that same time will most likely be in the form of web pages, not v2 hardware. That doesn't preclude minor hardware changes between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the v1 device, but I wouldn't get your hopes up (unless there are hardware bugs that cannot be worked around in software). I doubt there would be any major feature changes until the v2 device. -- Rod -Original Message- From: Pranav Desai [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Friday, Feb 9, 2007 6:36 am Subject: Hardware changes between phases ?
