This is really odd. I asume that my QtMoko v14 is no different than yours, so I should see what you told me but I do not. I am in the create message screen, close to the battery status there is a little keyboard where I can hide the keyboard or switch to another keyboard, I have four keyboards (only three are shown) an none show a blue arrow, at the most the DockedKeyboard shows a little green key that extends the keyboard with stuff. I do not think I am missing it and I am feeling really silly. Where should this blue arrow be? How do I finish the keyboard, just hiding? No matter if I reply a sms or start a new one, it happens the same. When I start a new message (or reply a sms) I see a red circle with a white cross and when I start typing it changes to an orange pentagon with a white cross inside that is pointing backwards and it actually deletes a character each time it is pressed. If I disable Use icon for soft keys in Settings - Appearance the orange pentagon becomes a Delete key. This is quite odd. I downloaded the images yesterday (or the day before yesterday) and are v14. [QtMoko v14] importing contacts
Hi all! I decided to try QtMoko. It looks quite nice. Its fast and at a first look it makes a rather complete impression. However I tried to import my contacts but it didn't work. I exported my addressbook from Kontact into one vcard and copied it over to the neo. Then I called this on the neo: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/qtmoko/lib/ /opt/qtmoko/bin/addressbook /tmp/addressbook.vcf This opened up a dialog asking me to import all my contacts and even showed the first 3 of them correctly in the dialog. I confirmed and it seemed to import everything successfully. But the contacts are not shown in the addressbook. I remember on om2008 there was an option in the menu to select contacts from sim or from internal database. This option seems to be missing in qtmoko. Anyone has an idea how I can bring my contacts to show up in qtmokos addressbook? I couldn't find much information about QtMoko in the wiki. QtMoko v14 GPRS
Hi Radek, thanks for your great updates on QtMoko which makes it my fav Freerunner distribution I use. Now that I got an O2 mobile flat I tried yesterday to set up GPRS. I noticed a few things which are maybe unclear or not (yet) working. - if I set the GPRS mode to allways online. After a few seconds or maybe a minute QTM gui freezes and I have to restart it (a bug has already been filled) - I found a workaround using the when needed option and setting the timeout to never which makes my GPRS connection stay always online :-) - GSM multiplexing is not working. When I am online I can not receive calls. How hard would it to integrate gsm07mux for this? - when I place a call beeing online the GPRS connection stops working. However when I try to connect again after my call has finished I do not get GPRS working again and have to reboot QTE. Good things I noticed: - the email client works best with IMAP IDLE so you can have email push enabled - when QTM is suspended it wakes up when the imap server sends a notification and gets the new mail. Well, I havent checked out if I stay longer than 30 mins suspended and this works, too Cheers and please keep up your good work! I am unable to reply sms because there is no send option! There is a delete option instead. How do I solve this? -- Pablo Miño ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
QtMoko v14
Hi, i have just uploaded QtMoko v14 debian images. QtMoko is stable distribution for based on Debian and Qtopia. It can be downloaded from here: http://activationrecord.net/radekp/qtmoko/download/ For more information see: http://qtmoko.org/ http://activationrecord.net/radekp/qtmoko/ http://activationrecord.net/radekp/qtmoko/screenshots/ Changes from previous version: * Fixed alarm * Maybe fixed loosing some incoming SMS * Updated kernel to latest andy-tracking As you can see there are not many changes. The main purpose of this release is to have version with working alarm and i would like to get some feedback about missing SMS bug. I cant reproduce it with this image (now i can even receive the concatenated SMS). So if you hit the SMS issue with this image, please let me know. Most valuable is way how to reproduce it and also AT log would be nice. If you are GPRS user then make sure you always fill username and password (even with some dummy values). So enjoy the images and thanks everybody who helped with this release. Re: QtMoko v14
Hi! I really like QtMoko and V14 is an improvement! Every time a new version arrives I provide the Freerunner Community in the Netherlands with an alternative download on http://www.openmobile.nl/ openmobile.nl (this site is in Dutch). I also changes some basic things to the standard QtMoko version: * I create an sdCard installer (Android alike, by flashing qi, rootfs, kernel) * I add some packages (pkg-fso-keyring vim ntpdate nfs-common mtd-utils flite) * I add a working version of Navit (under QX), with speech (flite) with an working map (Benelux) on the sdCard under the MapsNavit folder * I change the defaults of the fstab (swap on 2nd partition of sdCard), nfs-mount to host (192.168.1.200) /media/jffs2 Maybe this is handy for the rest of the community too? Take a look at the latest (V14) installer-image: http://www.openmobile.nl/pages/downloads.php#qtm14 QtMoko V14 Installer Image and let me know if this is something you all like or if there need to be some changes. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/QtMoko-v14-tp3781291p3784396.html Sent from the Openmoko Community mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
