Well this is quite important for me too. Is there a migration needed or
simply the data is saved in the same format?
Since until today I always shared my Applications and Documents folders
between Qtopia and Om2008 to get keep the phonebook, SMSs and documents
synced; it worked well, but will it work anymore?

And how can we keep our data ? Can we keep current /home, or just qtopia
database, or do we have to migrate it manually ?

what about the root file system in this release ? Same as previous, or
aligned on 2008.9 ?
Personnaly I currently use previous Qtopia on top of 2008.8 -updated to test
releases-.
Is there something special to do to add qtopia to a standard 2008.9
distribution (maybe at least without X11 qtopia packages) ?

Lorn said that qtopia 4.4 should allow having an .opk to install/upgrade...
is it available ?

This is the full functionality Iris web browser. This was not developed by Qt
Software. There is a
simple example web browser in the qtextended sources. You would have to contact
the premium module
companies to find out if they are releasing a version for the Neo.

None of the 'premium' modules were developed by Qt Software. Qt Extended is
fully dual licensed.

Cool... Btw I've seen that there are also some commercial (premium)

According to its homepage, it shouldn't be free (as speech) but it seems
at least freeware. I don't like too much these things, but it could be a
good tool for who needs a better browser.

Also the eZi keyboard seems quite pretty... :|

We usually release the open source packages a couple days after the
commercial release.

They will be at the new site:
http://qtextended.org

As soon as I can. Hopefully by this weekend.

Nope. I changed titles two years ago already! :)
Only difference is now I have two jobs to do - community _and_ engineering.

Is has been renamed to Qt Extended right now, isn't it?

However there are some very interesting videos on the net [1]
(especially the browser, IMHO), I just hope that the Freerunner will
have the same performances...

And what about the theme? Since in some videos there is a new
appearance, will we have something of different or just the standard
qtopia one?

Thanks for pushing something out, BTW... :P

Will you be able to integrate the bluetooth headset stuff into the UI by 4.4?
Seems someone has got
it working on the Wiki, it just requires the terminal right now.

It would be nice if you could hook up those menu items when in a call, that
routes to bluetooth,
speaker or handset.

Thanks

Only someone working in Qt Software. :)

4.4 is right around the corner.
It has dynamic rotation, webkit/example browser, a location API/example
gps apps, Gtalk jabber thingy. and I cannot remember what else.

And something else that you'll have to read about when the announcement
comes out.

Is it something different from what we already have on git.openmoko.org?
Since I've only heard rumors about it...

Anyway what are its key-points? QtWebKit support, Freerunner support,
then what else?

Any release date is planned for freerunner owners?
