You should use the rm_work tip. It reduces the space required to less
than half that size.

While waiting for the image, I tried this QEmu in the WIKI-Section - I am not
sure why, but everything within the neo-Emu seems to be very slow! I have to
wait a couple of seconds (~10 with 99% CPU) until anything after a pen-touch

Is this the normal behavior?? I tested it on two different PCs (Both Windows

The real advantage of QEmu over VMWare is QEmu can be updated to support

when it's more mature it is going to be submitted for merging to the main QEMU

At the moment, I don't kown what amazon S3 is.

The tracker is up and running now at http://tracker.unsads.com. I uploaded a
test torrent. I don't think all is working now, but you can have some tests.
Normally (if all is OK), I'm seeding this one (it's vmware server downloaded
from their site)
I tested bittorrent-curses under linux, but it didn't work because this is
not a gzipped file. i need to understand this problem clearly. When
resolved, I will be able to seed 24/7.
This is a good experience for me, I'm learning how to run a tracker...
useful and educative at the same time !

But, why not asking openmoko.org to host official torrents? We could have
various devel environments (debian based, fedora based,
your-distro-here-based) , and regular releases of official images. Just a
suggestion...

True, but answers the wrong question. The question is whether there

Okay the first image is bitorrenting at:
http://tracker.unsads.com/torrents-details.php?id=3

I'm currently seeding and leeching we'll soon have 2 seeds! Please
contribute if you feel this is useful :)

I will deal with the other one in RAR format within hours.

Don't hesitate if you have other openmoko-related bigfiles to share.

cheers

 pen-touch happens... :-(
Is this the normal behavior?? I tested it on two different PCs (Both
 Windows XP, ~2,4GHz P4/AMD)

Yes, very slowly, and last flash image seems without button icons :-(

I ran Windoze 2k in Ubuntu qemu and speed was over 50% in virtual machine,
but running openmoko in qemu-neo is not a productive environment :-(

QEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer:
http://www.qemu.org/

The real advantage of QEmu over VMWare is QEmu can be updated to support
Neo1973 hardware (another Open Source feature :-). It is a work-in-progress
and when it's more mature it is going to be submitted for merging to the
main QEMU development tree...

If someone will host the 2gb+ file, I can provide an Ubuntu VMWare image that I

using MokoMakefile and run the qemu image it produced.
