oh, come on! weren't you tickled pink by the happy thought of getting your  
freerunner?
after all, this _is_ a community list and the question how distribution  
works out is a question of great importance to a huge share of the members.
show a little compassion -- i knew i was stabbing little ups dolls while  
looking at the fiendish tracking status and seeing them giving it a  
sightseeing tour all of thursday and, finally, after deliverance friday  
afternoon i was happy as clam ...

Actually, I appreciated seeing that information.  I submitted an order and,
other than the very brief confirmation e-mail, have heard nothing.  The
store website has no additional information about when to expect the order
to be shipped or even a general status.  Members of the community passing on
their experiences, and order numbers so I can find my relative position, has
been helpful.

I got my confirmation within minutes of placing the order and required
no prompting.

After a quick Email to OM, they said I'd get a follow-up message from
UPS when the package actually ships.

When did you get email for OM? I ordered Thursday and only received a
confirmation of my order. Nothing about when shipping would start or UPS
notification. Did you have to do any prompting to get this info?

Our warehouse in Fremont, CA will be back to work on Monday (7/7) and start
shipping process.  Your order number should be ready to ship by Tuesday.

My order number is 1562. If I read a lot into the email I might conclude
order counts. I asked about tracking numbers too but no word on that.

Does anyone know when the phones are shipping in the US? One source I've
read say they'll ship tomorrow, Monday July 7th, but I'm curious if
they're shipping in the order they were bought?

Will we get a follow-up Email with a shipping/tracking number?

I'm trying to schedule a meet-and-geek for the Los Angeles group that
coordinated for a bulk purchase, but without any firm expectation of
when the phones will be in, it's hard to tell everyone when to show up
to get their phones.
