Recently I installed QtMoko v31 and I'm amazed.. I set up all kinds of
connections (still have a problem sending/receiving mms - but I'm not
too concerned about that).. Anyway, to the point now:
I set up an IMAP account and it started downloading headers then it was
so slow,

poweron. It just show noise on the screen.
Is this normal?

Have you put the logo to splash partition at all?

Yes, and it was shown with older u-boot.
Is it different with gennady's u-boot?

Actually nothing special in my version of u-boot, as you can see in
changelog, it has only few bug fixes.
Yes, splash should work, as reported by someone few months ago. Splash
simple copied from special flash partition into framebuffer, yes with

HAve a look at:
/home/root/Settings/Trolltech/qpe.conf
there is a section called Messages with counters of missed SMSs,
MMS...setting E-mail counter to 0 should help.
