Hi,
One question: Do you only consider upgrades of existing Freerunners or
would a complete phone also be an option? My (probably naive) impression
is that you're only missing the case plastics to provide a complete GTA4
phone.

Why not go the inverse road? Copy the file from your pc with:
scp r...@192.168.0.202:/path/to/toto4 .
If you're on Windows, you can also use WinSCP for that.

Since OM didn't yet reply officially, there is nothing to "believe". So
the question is rather: Do you believe a customer observing a situation
out of context without hearing the other side first?

Hi John, All,
Just upgraded from 2008.9. Things to mention:
- Boot time decreased. A lot! Thumbs up and a great "Thank you" for that :)
- Also, startup time for applications (dialer) seems to have decreased.
- As mentioned elsewhere, Enlightenment configuration was reset to not

Hi All,
During today's upgrade I encountered the following error:
* ERROR: The following packages conflict with openmoko-phoneprofile-data:

How should I proceed? Uninstall one of these?

I suppose the dns-sd command you gave me should return info on all FTP
services within the dns-sd.org domain. I dabbled with avahi some time

That would be a good idea. Let's start this wiki page and also record
the echo issue in it (which also seems to vary among people). Anyo
Hi All,
I added another column to indicate echo problems - I think it would be
good to get info on both of these issues.
With regard to buzz, do you think it is necessary to differentiate
between no buzz at all, always buzz, and buzz only with headset? My
understanding was that using a headset al

Hi Matthias,
You have to change the preconfigured values in
/usr/share/openmoko/scenarios/gsmhandset.state - see the mail sent

Hi Xavier,
Though this is probably not what you want to hear, I'd strongly suggest
to install SHR or another distro of your choice. OM2009 is (to the best
of my knowledge) at this point of time unmaintained and more or less
discontinued. Refer to emails sent earlier about this subject.

Hi,
I've also seen this bug and I've also tracked it down to OMNewRotate. My
solution so far was to always disable rotation before going into
suspend. Not doing so seems to give a chance of (almost?) 100% failure.
Note, that I keep the freerunner strapped in a horizontal position to my
belt - so d
Hi Aapo,
Cool project. But seeing this I wonder - wouldn't it even be a better
idea to use the accelerometers instead of the touchscreen? Or even use
both: accelerometers for the pitch and touchscreen for the amplitude -
like the original theremin :)
