I just understand, that its wrong to test via boniee++ with default
params, which required write 300Mb data, neo have mtd just 256mb, and
both fs becomes **very** slow near ENOSPC.
So, I rerun all tests with -s 32 -m 16, also I tested ext3, and ext2
in sync/async mode.

No where, its hard put classic gentoo on jffs2 (with all includes,
libraries, gcc, perl, python tools).
I also don't know any gentoo-based jffs2 "release", just because
gentoo openmoko not fully ready.

Because of FR's NOR bootloader, better to have some hacks in kernel, imho.

Adding GSM to MID-device definitely will make this device extra-cool.
Does somebody have idea how GSM could be added there?
Voice is most important feature for me. 3G and so on, could be
connected to touchbook part. May be its possible attach some gsm
board? (FR's or others).

As for me I just want Voice Calls/SMS and thats all.
Even gprs/3G not important, because

Touchbook possible was a piece of crap. But new revision (Smartbook)
looks really better.

2. detachable "core" with screen - MID

Looks like we have 2 different opinions here:
1. attach-all-possible-staff-to-MID add new holes new connectors and
so on, e.g. people "dreams" about open extra-cool phone. I'm a bit
confused by such unrealistic direction of developing MiniMoko, and it
will require at least 1-2 years.
2. Use already
Hi!
Neo can be booted without battery at all,

"Can't boot with discharged or missing battery" 5
In short:
1. remove battery
2. press AUX
3. insert usb-cable
4. release AUX (yes, only now)
5. press AUX+POWER to boot in nor menu
6. boot

I have same missages too, Qi can't boot my system from nand too,
BUT It successfully boots with uboot (actually not always, but boots),
there is opinion that Qi doesn't handle badblocks on nand correctly,
or smth like this.
So, try uboot.
