Hi, I've upgraded to qtopia-4.3.3-snapshot-09012242 because of the improved
sound quality and sms problem that was solved. After upgrading the volume
(incoming) is much lower.
Changing the volume in the settings didn't help. Looks like the volume needs
to be adjusted manually.
Any suggestions?
I have just installed qtopia-4.3.3-snapshot-09012242
I expect this one to be pretty stable. Have been using qtopia for a while
now and the only major issue for me was not receiving all sms messages. That
should have been taken care of with this release.

I've upgraded to the latest snapshot and the incoming volume was very low. I
have upgraded the kernel + qtopia image that were in the compressed file.
Any way to get the volume up again? Call options in the settings didn't
help.

fyi, this has been fixed in 4.4
Fine to hear!
But when is 4.4?
An updated 4.3.3 would be nice as well, the current snapshot is a bit buggy.
Incoming volume, lot worse
Well, working sms, phone without echo and resume would be very nice :) The
rest is nice to have.

You can try FDOM. It's somewhat bloated, but works nicely for me.
Nice, I will try this as well. Even Qtopia didn't work out for me. Other

I think the guys from OM are really working hard to get us a great phone.
I'm not always sure if they got the same priorities as we have. For me the

Great job, thanks! FBreader is a very nice e-book reader and from the looks
of it seem to suit the FR perfectly.

Frankly speaking I'm not sure anymore if the bugs are only software related.
As long as there is no image that has stable phoning capabilities I would
not advise anyone to buy one.
The hardware might be able to provide it in the future, but the unstable
software haven't proven itself yet.

How do you know that they'll not go through the same process with GTA03

You're right. I should have said something else. If you want to play

Hi,
I've just installed the daily testing image
http://downloads.openmoko.org/daily/testing/. I have no idea which distro
this is, 2008.9? Some more information (e.g. a readme.txt) would have been
nice.
Anyway.. after installing I needed to enter a SIM pincode and the only thing

Thanks! Works indeed.
Can't say that for the image itself though... already had to remove my
battery once to reset the phone and got complaints about echo and buzz.
