How would I get them onto downloads.openmoko.org? Thanks for catching this, Steve. I missed this message. We'll host them on http://downloads.openmoko.org/CAD/. As you can see, we already have IGES and STEP for Neo 1973, so it's only Freerunner that needs converting. I'll need to copy the files to downloads. Can you place them somewhere from which I can copy? If not, I'll see about finding a place to which we can give you write access. As an aside, I would love to convert the CAD files to .dxf format. I know this loses some information but it would be very useful. Can you do this? I'd like to see both IGES and STEP conversions. Solids would likely be better than wireframe, but I think people would have to try and open them in their respective CAD apps to see what works well. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Blender apparently has the ability to import .slp files from Pro/E, so it might be nice to have that in addition to IGES or STEP. Blender is more of an artistic program than a CAD program. I would suggest looking at Salome (OpenCascade), gCAD3D, MEDUSA, or possibly BRL-CAD. All of those are free (although some require registration) and should be able to perform conversions to files Blender can read as well. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
