Probably it's just the antenna. However I think it wouldn't pay off to get it repaired. And as far as I know the official MeeGo-releases for the N900 will be completely open source, so it will be almost as open as the Openmoko devices. It's great to hear that Nokia provided you with a device! I didn't epect that from the creators of oFono!
