Maybe he meant "with a small screen" ?

I think we need a software which allows us to write a word in fullscreen 
(maximizing the available writing area), then detects (pause? gesture?) 
the word is complete, adds it to the current sentence, and cleans the 
screen for next word.

Does anyone have an idea of such a software ?

The Freerunner has a resistive screen. It appears the next model will have a 
capacitive screen. There was a huge thread not long ago about their relative 
merits.

There's a lot of talk that the next versions will have a capacitive
screen. I lost track of it as this issue usually quickly becomes a
flame war.
