As comment three points out, you need the compiz-settings-manager to
enable gnome-compatibilty to get your keyboard shortcuts back (although
this should be auto-detected and added automatically by Karmic). This
app also includes a reset to default value button on almost all

this sounds interesting, but when I tried to find the loose binding
option I couldn't find it. I'm running the compiz installed by default.

- remove show desktop button from panel
- install wmctrl
- add custom application launcher with this command: wmctrl -k on and some
nice icon

Don't know if this is the same bug but it happens in Karmic that when
rigth click in nm-applet in the gnome-panel Edit Connection window
do not pop up, it appears below other windows. I have the option focus
follows mouse but auto raise delay of 0.9 seconds and the window do not

are coming. It is the end of the line for older intel graphics hardware.
My setup is Intel 82845G. There is still a freeze in Karmic, even if
Compiz is removed.
