Arbitrarily setting this to round 9 , since Round 9 is “Paper Jam:

such in intrepid by default. Not sure why this was changed.

This is a really tricky bug!
I now notice that the pointer changes correctly , even on the second
hover after the resize...
@Oliver Joos or anyone on Karmic. could you retest this?
Did anyone catch the update that causes the behavior to change?

Assigning this to Travis after discussing with him.
An FYI to all , We have 2 options:
1: ask upstream to hack the shadows appropriately [tough]
2: Let Ubuntu carry a small hack on its own [easier] ;)
If anyone can convince upstream to fix this , it would be better . You
can get more of their
Can anyone find the upstream bug for this? I cant seem to find one !
This bug has been for ~2yrs and hasnt been sent upstream?
@Andreas Berger:
Travis raises a valid concern that upstream is blocking this bug , and in
future version might even make the hack impossible !
IMO , its better to

David , could you take a decision on this?
This can be fixed by simple exclusions in compiz settings.
@all: could someone provide a screenshot of the default behavior? So
that David can take a design decision.

IIRC , that works only if metacity is the window manager , right?
If compiz it the window manager , panel throws shadows over the windows.
Or is there an equivalent setting in compiz for compositing_manager?

Compiz's Panel shadows show on top of other windows
Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper
cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is
quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of
this project.
Unable to reproduce this error in Karmic, When i select the
Fiddler , actually it doesnt , it is one of the bugs,
From desktop 1 , if you press show desktop ,and now select one of the windows
from the windows list ,
the selected window does not slide back... rather compiz behaves as if the
window was in the adjacent desktop[2/3/4] and switches desktops
Since the papercuts invalid list is growing , some good ideas are
getting lost , hence assigned it to Ayatana[after discussing with David
Siegel] for further consideration.
Even Windows7 has now been able to do this http://forum.compiz-
fusion.org/showthread.php?t=7873 the devs in the forum say
Ok , i take back what i said before...
(any) !(type=Dock) , is the better setting .
Since this *allows the drop down menus to have shadows and only removes
the shadow from the panel* .

I'm Unable to reproduce this behavior,
I have tried from a Live Usb of Ubuntu 9.04 . But *every time I repeat
it* , as soon as the firefox window is minimized the Run Application
Window gains focus. Works correctly .
Marking this as incomplete , *maybe someone else can reproduce this
behavior*
Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention.
But I'm unable to reproduce this in Karmic , As already pointed I can
reproduce this in Jaunty , But not in Karmic, it seems fixed..
Until someone else is able to reproduce this in karmic , I'm marking this as
incomplete.
