Re: [Computer-go] Question: Time Table World Championships

2017-03-09 Thread Michael Alford
The last 5 mins are the byoyomi, the number of periods is arbitrary. If
the match is 3 hrs, byoyomi starts at 2:55. This is common practice.

Thanks. Is it three hours, with sudden death? It says there is byo-yomi
from 5 minutes left, but didn't mention seconds per move, so it is just
a 300, 299, 288, 287, ... kind of countdown?

Normally it's 5*1min. If you play within one minute no byo-yomi time
will be substracted.

[Computer-go] Question: Time Table World Championships

2017-03-09 Thread Ingo Althöfer
Hi,

from March 21 to 23, the Go World Championships will
take place: one human participant each from Japan, South-Korea
and China PLUS bot Deep Zen.

Does someone know already details on the time table
and the online venues where the games are transmitted
or mirrored?

Thx in advance, Ingo.
