I've never had much luck getting iTunes to burn CDs, but I have an
unsupported burner [now replaced by another unsupported burner].
I use Roxio Toast. It burns perfect CDs and DVDs every time, as long as
you don't get crazy and use a ridiculously high speed. I'm patient. I
can wait. I rarely
I have been using Leopard on a 1 Gz powerbook, which
is only a little faster than Apple's minimum requirements,
and I haven't been noticing any slowdowns or hanging
with iTunes. It does seem to take substantially longer
to start up than it did under Tiger, though.

I have recently started using iTunes to rip CD's. The drive itself is fine,
I can look at DVD's with no problem, CD's iTunes are another issue.
It's not unusual for me to have to reboot. Force quit...
