Computer Guys did a Tech Tuesday discussion on this topic with Kojo.I
vaguely recall somebody singing the praises of the Toshiba lapbooks.
You might want to check the archives, to see if there's a summary of the
discussion.I think it was last September -- back to school time.

I have an IBM x31 ...older model which is very well built as opposed to
later x40+ which is tinny... It's small and does not have an optical drive.
Take a look at the T series IBMs after model 23 which have a drive slot
where you can get a DVDR and also other stuff fits in there. They are great
I am looking for a notebook fir my daughter who is a school teacher.
She doesn't need a last model
with Vista and all. She could do with XP, an older model. Where do I
look for good notebooks at
a good price?
Many thanks
Marcio
If you want an older one you might try Dell refurbs they usually have
a good lot of refurbed Dells and most of these models will still have
XP on them.
Next is Compgeeks. (www.compgeeks.com)
Finally there is always Ebay but you want something that has some
guarantee on it.
